VERSE OF THE WEEK

  Acts 17:26-29

26 From one man he made all the nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he marked out their appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands. 27 God did this so that they would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from any one of us. 28 ‘For in him we live and move and have our being.’[a] As some of your own poets have said, ‘We are his offspring.’

ARTICLE OF THE MONTH

DO NOT GO TO ANOTHER FIELD TO GLEAN

(By Paily Varghese, Houston, January 2019, Also published in the Nov 2018 Suviseshakan)

There was a time when people were eager to buy more and more land assets. Such people were wealthy and commanded respect in the communities, as landlords. Nowadays many are shying away from the land and farming business, is not cost-effective, thus un-affordable to keep up with. Only mega farmers can survive with the application of modern farming techniques, fertilizers, and pesticides etc.
